Style Watch: V Festival 2016

We love the UK’s festival season, and not only for the plethora of musical talent and the bohemian atmosphere – the fashion and beauty also commands a lot of attention. V Festival is always one of the most glamorous of the summer’s events, and nowhere more so than the VIP area. This weekend, some of the most famous faces from British music and TV were spotted backstage at Hylands Park, but which celebrities got our vote for the best style? Read on to find out.

Laura Whitmore (above)
As well as covering the event for Channel 5, presenter Laura Whitmore found time to hang out with fellow celebrities in the VIP Mahiki Rum Bar – and she looked as effortlessly flawless as ever. With relaxed, tousled hair, Laura ensured that no sudden rain showers could ruin her look. Want to achieve this look yourself for the last few festivals of the year? A salt spray such as TIGI Catwalk Salt Spray will add texture while also fighting humidity and controlling frizz.

V Festival Ferne McCann

Ferne McCann
Buns have been a festival style favourite this year, and we love Ferne’s quirky double style. Leaving the rest of her hair loose, she also taps into the half-up trend (one of our Must-Have Festival Styles for 2016) and still showcases her on-trend peekaboo fringe. Having recently swapped TOWIE for sophisticated roles in musical theatre, it’s great to see Ferne keeping her look young and fresh with a sprinkling of sequins and clashing accessories.

V Festival Pixie Lott

Pixie Lott
Mixing prints is a guaranteed way to turn heads, but singer Pixie Lott keeps her outfit cohesive by sticking with a fresh, blue and white colour theme. Her pastel-toned hair is absolutely perfect for a fun festival look; and while we doubt that Pixie was slumming it on the campsite, her choice of headscarf would mask second-day hair beautifully.

V Festival Dougie Poynter

Mid-lengths styles on men are set to be one of the biggest styles for the coming season, and Dougie wears his pushed back and tousled for the ultimate low-maintenance look. A product such as Redken’s Rough Clay is ideal for recreating this style – run the clay through the lengths and ends for definition and cool matte texture.

V Festival Roxie Horner

Roxy Horner
Stunning model Roxy kept her look edgy but effortless in an all-black ensemble teamed with vampy makeup and statement shades. Her loose, glossy waves added a more polished element, but still didn’t look too groomed for the relaxed festival atmosphere. We adore the subtle reverse ombre, as her blonde locks graduate into a light, caramel brown. Want this beautiful colour for yourself?
