5 Must-Have Festival Beauty Products

Festivals are all about the music, your friends and having a good time – but we know that looking good on those Instagram snaps is pretty high on the list of priorities, too! Without access to showers and your trusty ghds, it can be a struggle to keep yourself looking and feeling fresh. Luckily, there are just a few products you really need to keep your hair and skin in check. We’ve picked our 5 favourite festival beauty products – just throw these in with your sleeping bag and you’ll be good to go!

1. Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is an absolute essential when it comes to festival season. Not only is it the saviour of oily roots on your second or third (or even fourth!) day, but it’s also amazing for adding texture and grip. A few spritzes of a product such as Oh Bee Hive! from TIGI will instantly add volume back to flat roots, and also help to hold festival styles such as braids and buns in place.

2. Glow-Getters

Late nights and roughing it in a tent can quickly take their toll on our skin, leaving it dull and dehydrated. A brightening cream like Elemis’ Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm will instantly lift your complexion, giving you that ‘lit from within’ glow. Use either as a primer under makeup for a healthy-looking base, or for an instant radiance boost when your skin starts to look a bit tired.

3. Cordless Stylers

If you really can’t go without heat styling at a festival, don’t fear – the Freestyler Pro Cordless Styler from Diva has a long battery life for styling on the go. The must-have tool has rounded plates so can be used to create waves and curls as well as straight styles – plus the travel pouch and compact size means you can throw it in your rucksack without sacrificing other essentials (i.e. hand sanitiser and cider).

4. Wash-Out Colour

Festivals are the perfect place to experiment with a new look, and semi-permanent colours allow you to do just that without the full commitment. The Fudge Paintbox range wash out in 3-30 washes, letting you experiment with the wide range of rainbow and pastel shades. This summer, we love the on-trend turquoise for a fun wash of colour.

5. Hair Oil

Whether you’re blessed with sunshine or need to unfurl the Pac a Mac, the chances are that your hair will get a bit dry and frizzy over the course of the weekend. Pack a lightweight oil like Oil Reflections from Wella and run this through the ends of your hair every day for smooth, frizz-free results.
