Cameron Diaz stepped out at the Christian Dior presentation on Avenue Montaigne during the Paris Couture Fashion Week looking every bit a billion dollars. Proving she’s still got it the 39 year old actress flourished in a knee-length 50′s-inspired polka-dot dress and gladiator heels.
We’re starting to see Spring/Summer’s hair trends creeping into celebrity and fashionista culture and one particular trend that Cameron Diaz is currently sporting is the ‘Grace‘ trend that Wella Professionals have recently launched for 2012.
As one of the four looks from Wella’s Trend Vision collection ‘Grace’ is ultra-sophisticated, seriously luxe and impressively understated. The trend was reflected on many of New York’s runways last September from DKNY to Peter Som – luxurious, refined and simply radiant hair.
Hairdressing’s leading lights Eugene Souleiman and Josh Wood – backstage at many of the shows – are responsible for the 2012 Haute Couture trends for Wella Professionals. At DKNY Eugene explained the colour inspiration for Grace, “I used weaves to give the models very young, sexy hair. The idea was for them to look like they’d spent a month in the sun, so I threaded lighter slices therough the top layers and slightly darker ones underneath.”
‘Grace’ uses natural but expensive looking hair colour with sandy beige tones and a shadow of a root. It’s proving already to be a very popular colour in our salons along with the ‘ombré‘ technique made famous last Summer with the likes of Alexa Cheung. I can’t wait to see who else come out in the next few weeks with the ‘Grace’ look!
