Trend Watch: Bronde Hair
Building on the trend for natural-looking, low-commitment hair colour that dominated the autumn/ winter 2015 runways, the increasingly popular not-quite blonde, not-quite brown shade now has its own name: bronde. For years people have struggled to categorise the colour made popular by Jennifer Aniston and Gisele, but with more and more of us opting for her effortless, luxurious colour it was time to pin it down!
Bronde is a fantastic colour that can be tailored to suit most natural bases: you can dial up the brunette tones if you’re naturally darker and similarly, add in a few lighter shades if you’re more fair. Plus, you can easily adapt it to seasonal changes. As we move into autumn/winter, you can mix in some warmer, caramel tones and when summer rolls back around, why not take it a little lighter?
By choosing a balayage application (where colour is painted free-hand onto the hair) rather than foils, you get a much softer blend between colours. This not only helps you to create a more natural-looking finish but by keeping your base as close to your natural hair colour as possible, your regrowth will be less noticeable so you get that highly-coveted low-commitment look.
