Tips & Advice
As another round of fabulous fashion weeks draws to a close, the fashion and beauty world is abuzz with new inspiration. Taking catwalk insight and insider industry info to the salons, The Edge artistic team have their ear to the ground for what’s hot this Autumn/Winter season.
Victoria notices a trend for chic low ponytails:
“It looks as if a Kim Kardashian classic, the low ponytail will be making a comeback this A/W. A centre parting with a very tight ponytail will give this look a more tailored, androgynous feel for the fashion forward among you. If you’re looking for a softer finish, wear slightly looser with pieces falling around the face. Simple, but stylish, and a big hit on the catwalks in New York, London and Paris”
Meanwhile Bradley had his eyes peeled for new takes on classic colour:
“Colour seems to have moved on from blondes for Autumn, giving ombre blends a much needed update. Starting from dark brown and blending to lighter brunette shades, brassier yellow blondes are on the out in the run up to Winter. For styling, give your look an instant update with a centre parting – very now!”
Checking out the more adventurous side of colour,Laura noticed brights still making waves on the catwalk:
“At London Fashion Week, one thing that really caught my eye was the collections of Fielder and Fielder, and Ashish. Both hair stylists used colour chalk, a one-wash colour application that allows people’s imaginations to run riot! Keep an eye out for these super-bright shades of purple, green, coral and more to give you huge freedom in colour for your hair, well into next Spring. The perfect way to have fun with your style!”
