How To Guide: Faux Bob
A faux bob is a chic hairstyle choice that’s sure to add a sophisticated touch to your next night out or special occasion. Our Creative Director Kieron Fowles shows you how to achieve the look at home…
STEP 1: Work a volumising mousse like Designline Root Boost through towel-dried hair before blow drying.
STEP 2: Set your hair into a strong side parting then begin taking 3-4 inch sections from the front and wrapping them around the ghd Curve Classic Curl Tong. (HINT: direct the curls away from the face for a natural-looking finish.)
STEP 3: Soften the curls by brushing through with a paddle brush.
STEP 4: Take a horizontal section from the back of the head at either side, just below the crown and clip out of the way.
STEP 5: Tie the remaining hair at the back into a ponytail then pull it through once more part way to create a loop.
STEP 6: Tuck the loop under itself and pin into place to begin the bob.
STEP 7: Take a section from each of the side panels and bring to the back, pinning it into the bob.
STEP 8: Continue taking hair from the front sections and pinning under at the back. Leave a few strands loose to frame the face.
STEP 9: Finish with a mist of hold spray like Designline Stand Still Ultimate Finisher.
