Dini De Silva from our artistic team, The Edge, has been busy in the midst of the London Fashion Week SS15 action over the weekend, creating some on-trend #colourflash hairstyles at Wella’s Instamatic Pop-Up Salon. Set at the Premier Models HQ in Covent Garden, the temporary salon has been set up to launch Wella’s exciting new pastel range of hair colour, Instamatic. Watch this space for full details on Instamatic, coming very soon to Regis salons but in the meantime Dini has just sent this through as her favourite retro style of the day with a few tips on how to get the look at home:

Set at the Premier Models HQ in Covent Garden, the temporary salon has been set up to launch Wella’s exciting new pastel range of hair colour, Instamatic (available in-salon next month) and Dini has selected her favourite style so far with a few tips on how to get the look at home:

“I love this sophisticated 1920s-inspired look. It’s especially great as it works beautifully on short hair and you can recreate it yourself in a few simple steps:

Step one: Begin by washing hair with SP Smoothen Shampoo and Smoothen Conditioner for more manageable locks.

Step two: Spritz Sebastian Texturizer onto damp hair to create texture and rough dry.

Step three: Once hair is completely dry, curl 1-2 inch sections using the ghd Curve Classic Curl Tong. Curl the front sections away from the face and spray with Wella SP Perfect Hold.

Step four: Gently work a natural bristle brush such as the ghd Ceramic Vented Radial Brush Size 2 through the curls starting from the left side in a continuous flow to run the curls together around the base of your neck. Finish with Sebastian Shine Shaker to set the style and add shimmer. Secure with hair pins if you need a little extra hold.”
