Regis at the MAD Blog Awards 2012
With over 3,000 blogs nominated and 52,000 votes cast, if you were one of the few MAD nominees who found themselves up for an award on the night, you probably felt very special indeed. Yes, it was that time of year again in which close to a hundred women (and the odd man) descended upon the capital to celebrate their achievements in blogging, though to be more specific, parent blogging.
The 2012 MAD Awards (that’s mummy and daddy to the uninitiated), took place at the Radisson Edwardian in Bloomsbury Street, London, last Friday with the UK’s best parent bloggers up for nominations in twenty categories, including Best Craft Blog, Best Baby Blog and Best Family Travel Blog to name just three. Even Mylene Klass was there on-hand to present an award!
Our involvement came as a sponsor of the event and also in the form of the pre-awards ‘Getting Ready’ phase. Guy Cammarano, UK Creative Director for Regis, was joined by our super-stylists Stephanie Waugh, Angela Dolan and Stacy Baldock to provide a perfect hair pampering for the bloggers in time for the start of the awards.
“Working with the mummy bloggers at the MAD Awards was wonderful”, said Guy. “Not only did we provide them with a short service and gave some great advice for them to take away, it also gave myself an insight into the world of parent blogging. I even learned a few blogging tips myself from them! A great evening and congratulations to all the winners.”
And the bloggers certainly enjoyed their fifteen minute touch up too.
Jennifer Howze, co-founder of BritMums and blogger at Jenography, said, “There’s nothing quite like going for a fab evening out with a gorgeous coif. I loved having Regis work their magic on my hair, and ended up with a sleek look that lasted the next day as well.” Elsewhere, Susan K. Mann added, “It was a great night with lots of lovely people, all feeling glamorous in their pretty dresses & gorgeous hair styles thanks to Regis!”
It was great to be part of the MAD Blog Awards 2012 and we’re looking forward to seeing who is nominated next year!
Also, bloggers, if you were there, don’t forget about your Regis flyer in the goody bag you received. We placed five FREE CUT AND COLOUR flyers into the bags, so don’t miss out for a free treat on us! The rest of the flyers included 10% off a service of £30 or more.
