X Factor: End of the Auditions
Well, that’s that, X Factor auditions are over for another year and already we’re up to boot camp next week (which we can’t wait for – serious X Factor time)!
This weekend’s shows stood out particularly as there didn’t seem to be any boys (well, perhaps ONE) in the Saturday show – did anyone else notice this?! Sunday seemed to deliver them in abundance, however.
Standout style from the guest judges was definitely Rita Ora – such an amazing colour, and enviable curls complimenting her skin tone and set off at times with bright red lipstick – bold, fun and on trend. And, of course, as mentioned last week, Leona Lewis appeared with her vintage victory roll fringe, subtle dip dye and luscious on-trend lipstick like Ora’s. Tulisa was looking her best with a sleek up do – will be strange to see her with her new blonde hair – such a stark contrast!
To begin with the boys – stand out auditions included the very handsome and charming Adam Burridge, along with Rough Copy and Robbie Hance – but all of them were wearing hats! We want to see your hair, boys!
George Shelley came along looking very Bieber-esque – and probably could have passed for him if he’d been rocking the same style, but instead he’d opted for the Harry Styles/One Direction ‘sweep-it-all-across-the-forehead’ look. Whilst Triple J stepped it up a with no caps and their own individual style – we think they’ll definitely be a hit with the ladies!
There seemed to be so many more girl auditions this week than boys – and plenty of tearjerking stories to get us all hooked in.
Standout style for the girls was Lauren Smith’s incredible natural red locks, with a cute curl teamed with bright Barbie pink lipstick that certainly charmed us!
Sunday’s show also saw the return of Carolynne Poole who managed to get through to judges houses last year, but didn’t get past Louis Walsh’s tough group. Good luck this year, Carolynne!
Another familiar face was Bianca Gascoigne, daughter of footballer Paul Gascoigne and former star of Celebrity Love Island, who is now looking to change peoples perception of her. Judges weren’t totally enamoured with her voice, but we thought her hair was looking healthy, thick and luscious.
Jade Ellis was another favourite from the girls – bright, happy and smiley and worked in a bike shop! Jade had dyed her hair blonde, contrasting wonderfully with her warm skin tone, and again with the bright red lips – a popular choice for the ladies. Jade also gave herself an edge with a patterned undercut on the left side of her head.
Good luck to everyone at boot camp next week!
