On Tuesday 1 March, Kieron was working on the hair for Finnish designer AALTO International. The fittingly named Hellsinki collection is a creative amalgamation of urban youth culture and the traditional customs of the Sami people (an indigenous Finno-Urgric culture). Certainly a unique concept and the hair had to complement it perfectly. The models sported ultra long tresses and the styling was kept lived-in and undone for an earthy texture.
Here are Kieron’s top tips for creating the look:
STEP 1: Set hair in a centre-parting before working a volumising mousse (we rate EIMI Natural Volume) through the lengths of damp hair.
STEP 2: Blast dry with a hair dryer until hair is roughly three quarters dry.
STEP 3: Complete the blow dry using a large barrel brush to smooth down the hair.
STEP 4: Mist dry locks with a heat protect spray before tonging random sections of hair from about half-way down the length.
STEP 5: Once the curls have cooled, use a texturising dry shampoo like TIGI Bed Head Oh Beehive, spraying it through sections of hair and gently brushing it through – this will also help relax the curls for a more natural finish.
STEP 6: Finish with a spritz of hold spray like Sassoon Professional Motion Hold.
