Trend Vision 2015

Natural_265 - Copy

At Regis we’re all getting excited about this year’s Trend Vision. As one of the most prestigious hairdressing competitions, it’s no wonder so many of our stylists are eager to to showcase their talents at such a high level.

This year six of our talented stylists have put themselves forward for the competition and earlier this week they gathered together at Wella’s Manchester studio to create their entries with the help of our UK Head of Technical Eduction Becci Mills and UK Creative Director Kieron Fowles.

Each year Wella hold a Trend Vision Insight evening where they introduce the two themes for the competition. Each stylist then picks the theme they feel best represents them and creates a cutting edge hairstyle to reflect it. Armed with ideas and inspiration for their looks, our stylists brought along their models to the studio and worked with Kieron and Becci to make sure their cut and colour were the best reflection of both themselves and the theme they had chosen.

This year’s themes are The New Frontier (earthy tones with an untamed, raw beauty) and The Journey of Enlightenment (light and free with natural, fluid movement).

The day consisted on developing their look, crafting the cut, colour and style before sending the models off for make-up and photos. These looks will form our stylists entries for the first round of the competition where they submit a photo of their model and a detailed explanation of the colour, cut and techniques chosen to bring their look to life.

Our stylists for Trend Vision 2015 are:

Daniel Benson from Mops Gallowgate

Emily Batham from Regis Birmingham

Melanie Hamil from House of Fraser Jenners Edinburgh

Laura Dicken from Regis Dudley

Victoria O’Neil from Debenhams Gateshead

Ashleigh Scott from Regis Ormskirk

We’ll be keeping you up to date on their progress over the next few months so keep checking back to see how they’re getting on! In the meantime, why not take a look at the action from last year’s Trend Vision?
