X Factor Live Shows: Week 9
And now, the end is near… We can’t believe it’s the final next week! So let’s cut to the chase, we’re quite distressed at the fact that Union J were voted out, not least for the fact that we don’t really have any contestant hairstyles to get excited about any more! Oh, and George never did lose his floppy tresses.
Oh well, onward and upward, let’s get straight in to our favourite dissection – Tulisa vs Nicole…
And Nicole Scherzinger clinched it again on both nights, but it was close! Saturday’s cream Zeynep Tosun dress was beautiful, though slightly off-putting was her Shaun Leane metal glove, which looked like it could have done some damage! She wore her hair up in a large round bun on top of her head. A really nice edge to the ever-popular topknot trend.
Meanwhile, Tulisa seemed to play it safe in a very low-cut, simple black Alexander McQueen bandeau dress with her hair in loose curls around her shoulders.
Sunday was an out and out win for Nicole, as she stunned in an Abed Mhfouz organza gown with her hair perfectly volumised around her shoulders. Tulisa looked cute in a Rock n Roll Couture by Suzannah dress, with her hair in curls to one side, but was no match for Nicole on this occasion!
We loved these intimate backstage shots, seeing some of the boys getting their hair done in preparation for the show – check out Josh’s huge quiff, and the attention to detail in getting Jahmene’s crop just right!
The first of the guest appearances on Sunday’s show was from Rod Stewart, singing a Christmas song with the remaining boys – he really is the king of the late 60s perm, and not looking too bad for a 67 year old man!
Also performing was Tulisa, sporting her third look of the night with a leather ensemble and her hood up. The final guest was Pink, who definitely proved she is the queen of the pixie cut, rocking some messy Rebel styling against her cool ice blonde.
Check out Union J on the X Factor stage for the last time, with their farewell performance of Taylor Swift’s ‘Love Story’.
